Your room

Dear Ronin,

Many expecting parents, or so I hear, enjoy getting the room ready for the new baby.

Your mother and I are no different.

New year’s day, we started gutting our upstairs in preparation. Plaster was removed and the walls were torn down. Over the next few months we built everything back up – with the help of our friends and family.

Even now, so close to your birth, everyone is still chipping in. Today, I came home from work, to find my parents – your grandparents – working on the drywall.

Despite all the help, the room might not be complete by the time you arrive. Not to worry though, you will have a room soon enough. And, in the meantime, you can stay safe and close to us in our room.

Your Father,
Gabriel
