The Lorax

Dear Ronin,
Tonight, as wehave many times before, we read The Lorax before heading to bed.

However, this time something was different – rather than simply enjoying the rhymes – you began to understand the story.

Over and over you repeated:

Trees broken. Bears sad…
Trees broken. Smoke. Birds bye-bye…
Trees broken. Dirty water. Fish bye-bye…

I find myself both incredibly proud and profoundly sad.
